Easy Rider: Another Friction Salute!

We couldn’t sleep on this recent Mixmag feature… A list of DJ riders from this year’s Creamfields festival.

Comprising essentials-lists from the likes of Martin Garrix, Calvin Harris, Claude VonStroke, Steve Aoki, Tiesto and Friction, it’s an intriguing insight into the life of a headline DJ that ranges from health conscious (bowls of fruit, gluten-free snacks, goji berries) to practical (sim cards, toothpaste, hand sanitiser) to total baller (candle-lit ambience, Cristal, proper cutlery and crockery)

THE BEST one, though, comes from Team Friction.

Three packs of Skittles, salt & vinegar Pringles and Jaffa Cakes: A humble selections of snacks is all that’s required to make sure a man of Friction’s stature is comfortable backstage at a massive festival like Creamfields. Talk about keeping it real… It doesn’t even enforce the portion size!

Considering his encouragement of the summer’s funniest meme and some seriously killer remixes and originals this summer, Friction continues to command massive props right now. Living proof that drum & bass is the most down to earth, unpretentious genre there is… Friction, next time we see you we’ll get the Jaffa Cakes in. Salute!
