MASSIVE NEWS landed this week that has caused mass raver grins the world over…
Liam Howlett has confirmed rumours that a new album from The Prodigy will definitely land before the year is out. Not only that, but he’s given a clear indication that the album will take their trademark beat brutality to violent news levels!
Speaking to longstanding UK music press NME, the band founder and revolutionary engineer, states that that the follow-up to 2009’s Invaders Must Die will be “more violent-sounding” and that “it feels wilder.”
“It’s not so much old-school,” he developed. “It’s neither guitar-based not synth-based; it’s kind of a mixture. It doesn’t feel so radio-friendly to me; it feels like its got a lot of edge.”
Wow… What a teaser. And the news lands pretty much bang-on 20 years after their second album Music For The Jilted Generation was released.
As far as electronic music acts they don’t get ANY bigger or more influential than The Prodigy. The Rolling Stones of rave, they have inspired every generation of producers and fans since the early 90s, their five album repertoire making irreparable impacts on every shade and style of dance music imaginable… Especially bass music.
