Spearhead Records has been on quite the ride since it was launched in 2005 by BCee in an Ibizan internet café. Founded on the ethos of ‘if you want it, you can do it’, no matter how many twists and turns the label’s endured, its spirit and values remain the same… To be inclusive and supportive. To treat all artists fairly and never compromise their creativity. Most importantly; to champion and push the most exciting, genuine and uplifting drum & bass possible. With a signature for breaking new talent, the label has seen an all-star cast of headliners pass through its doors over the years: Hybrid Minds, LSB, Netsky, Alix Perez, S.P.Y, Lenzman, Redeyes, Technimatic, Submorphics and Riya are just some of the acts who enjoyed debut, breakthrough or early releases on Spearhead and gone on to enjoy incredible careers. They rub shoulders with some of jungle and drum & bass music’s most revered and influential names as the likes of Jonny L, Calibre, Seba, Total Science, Danny Byrd, Bladerunner and Cyantific have all graced the label over the years (to name but a few) No matter who’s behind the beats, however, the message and vision are always consistent: Spearhead never ties artists into constricting contracts and only ever signs and releases music it believes in, regardless of current trends, hype or bandwagons. A community just as much as it is a label, Spearhead is founded on bringing people together both in the form of releases and on the dancefloor. Since venturing into the rave game in 2011, the brand has curated and hosted some unforgettable dances across the UK and Europe including sold-out events at iconic London venues such as Brixton Electric, Egg, Plan B and Village Underground.
