Calm down, it’s just a helmet…
Ever since Barely Alive released this video on Facebook yesterday, a lot of fans have moaned that the duo are ‘doing a Marshmello’. What do you think?
Sure, it’s a helmet. But there are a few differences here: firstly Marshmello isn’t the only act to wear some type of head gear (Daft Punk, Deadmau5, Claptone, Bloody Beetroots, Malaa, Camelphat, the list goes on). Secondly, Willie and Matt aren’t anonymous in the first place.
Thirdly – and we checked in at Disciple HQ to confirm this – the helmet won’t affect their famously seismic sets in any way whatsoever. The plan is to make their shows even crazier, hyper and more memorable as the helmet performs a variety of visual stunts throughout the set. Other than that, it’s business as usual… Furious funk and headbanging heaven.
If you can get to Vegas this weekend you can even see for yourselves. Willie will be debuting the helmet tomorrow at The Joint alongside Excision.
All calm about the helmet? Good… Now let’s get excited about their forthcoming material which, we’re told, is due very soon.
