Premiered exclusively on BBC Radio 1 by Annie Mac on Friday night, Sigma have unveiled their next big single.
Entitled Higher, it features Labrinth on vocals and comes complete with more of that cathedral-level sense of sing-along epicness of their previous two chart topping singles.
Sigma – Higher will follow a run of unprecedented chart success never seen before in drum & bass. With both previous singles Nobody To Love and Changing smashing the UK top spot, speculation and anticipation for this to do the same remains high.
While the duo explained to us last year that commercial success won’t change who they are, it’s clear they’re enjoying the poppier, uplifting side of drum & bass, they’re damn good at writing it and it’s reaching A LOT of ears. Mixmag state that their last two singles sold in excess of 1.75 million and reached a radio audience of one billion.
That’s one billion ears all tuned into the sound of drum & bass without question… This is great publicity for the scene at large with all sides – overground and underground – enjoying the attention and opportunities.
Sigma – Higher is expected to be released late March and will hopefully build up to their first artist album Life which is rumoured to be released this summer. Check it below. What do you think of it?
