This is the quest Desperados are on this summer as their Inner Tequila Studios joins forces with UKF in celebration of music’s most intense moments….
The quest kicks off with a unique live showcase with one of the hottest acts in drum & bass right now: The Prototypes. A guaranteed display of explosive bass dynamics, the Brighton duo will perform an unforgettable live stream from UKF and Inner Tequila Studios’ new project Drop Labs, powering through double and even triple drops exclusively on UKF’s Facebook page. Not to be missed… This is just the beginning.
The live stream will be followed by a mini series of unique short documentaries that explore the dark art of the drop with three of the best names in these games: UK bass, dubstep and drum & bass, featuring TQD (Royal-T, DJ Q and Flava D), SKisM and The Prototypes respectively.
Each episode will plot the evolution of the drop as the artists handpick what they believe to be the most important drops in their field. Explaining the roots, the impact, the technical development and future of the drop along the way, every episode will be packed with high impact history and heritage… Hitting just as hard as a precision engineered bass drop itself.
There’s more… Following the documentary mini-series comes a collection of music videos. A unique challenge we’ve laid down for some of the best video directors in the game: we’ve briefed them to showcase the power of the bass drop in visual form, against three of the most innovative, freshest tracks in UK bass, dubstep and drum & bass, each one exclusive to Drop Labs.
Cue the incredible grand finale of our summer of bass music exploration: Desperados will be offering the ultimate bass drop experience… A festival in anti-gravity where a group of lucky winners from around the world will be taken on a zero gravity flight.
