Could Dillon Francis be set to leap from big rooms to our very own living rooms this year? Maybe…
Triple J’s Kyran Wheatly collared the Mad Decent artist during his tour down under for a revealing radio interview last weekend. During the 12 minute chat he provided heaps of insights into the ongoing genre debate, his career, the EDM scene in India, beards, tattoos, collaborations, albums and his forthcoming plans to shoot a pilot sketch show for MTV.
The revelations came about as Dillon runs through some of his humorous YouTube characters such as Trevor and DJ Hanzel. When asked about a sketch show, Dillon’s answer clearly throws Kyran who only asked as a joke. Dillon goes on to explain how he’ll be filming the pilot for MTV’s approval very soon and that his well known caricatures aren’t likely to appear in the show due to rights issues.
Currently titled The Dillon Francis Show, he couldn’t reveal too many details besides the fact that filming starts this month and, he states, “it’s going to be funny.” If you’ve followed Dillon on any of his social channels you’ll know he can back this statement up.
