UKG don DJ EZ has announced a new house and techno alias: Elvin Zedo
A mission to go back to the house and techno roots he first came through on pirate stations Dance 93FM and Dimension with in the late 80s as DJ Easy O, the Elvin Zedo concept apparently came about in 2004. But, what with being one of the most in demand UK DJs in bass music and all, he never found the time. Until late last year when he went stealth mode and set up some Elvin socials on the side.
This morning he came out of stealth mode with the video below explaining his newfound DJ duality as he’ll now be performing as both EZ and Elvin Zedo. Double bubble. He’s launching the project with a mammoth 10 hour set on Boiler Room this Sunday, February 24. With that legendary 24 hour set he did for Cancer Research still giving us goosebumps over two years down the line, this one should be just as tasty.
Sounding super inspired, and still not looking anywhere near the age he should as an influential OG DJ who’s been in the thick of UK club culture since the very foundations, here’s EZ’s full video revelation. Big up EZ / Elvin!
