Drum&BassArena Awards 2019: Nominees Announced

It’s crunch time…

After their most well-subscribed first round to date, Drum&BassArena have now announced the second round of voting in their 2019 awards, revealing the top most popular nominations in each category.

As always, the results of the first round paint an interesting picture with various names found across multiple categories.

Chase & Status have been nominated in five awards: Best Producer, Best Album, Best Remix, Best Video, Best Single (and collaborator Irah has also been nominated in the Best Vocalist) Meanwhile Bou finds himself in four categories: Best DJ, Best Newcomer, Best Producer and Best Track.

Many others find themselves up for three awards including Camo & Krooked, Enei and Alix Perez while Venezuelan metal-lover Zardonic (who we interviewed earlier this year) provides the surprise twist this year as he appears in the two biggest categories: Best DJ and Best Producer.

Musically some great selections have been nominated in the Best Album, Best Track and Best Remix categories with firm anthems and solid bodies of work up for all awards. Elsewhere the newcomer categories read like a rollcall of future headliners and Best Vocalist features various names who’ve not been nominated in the awards before.

An exciting snapshot of drum & bass in 2019 and a wealth of worthy winners in each category: We have until 9pm, Sunday November 10 to vote for our favourites. Full details on the ceremony are expected to be revealed in the near future.
