Drum&BassArena Awards: Nominees Announced

Awards

Forget the Oscars, forget the BAFTA’s and forget the Grammy’s. It’s time to recognise the people who have provided the soundtrack to our lives this past year – Drum&BassArena have announced the official nominees for the sixth annual Drum&BassArena Awards, hosted in association with Serato.

Whether you’re a fan of awards ceremonies or not, the nominees represent a broad spectrum of talent across the genre, and are a testament to how huge this past year has been for drum & bass.

With 14 categories in total there are 10 nominees to choose from in each category, with the exception of the Best Newcomer DJ category, which has 11 nominees thanks to a draw. If that’s not evidence of the sheer volume of talent within the scene this year, we don’t know what is!

You’ll see some old faces and new, ranging from (surprise, surprise) Andy C, Friction, Noisia, The Prototypes, Metrik and more in the Best DJ category, to Collette Warren, Riya, Jenna G, Becky Hill, Etherwood and more in the brand new category of Best Vocalist.

From Best Club Night, to Best Festival, to Best Label and Newcomer Producer, the awards cover all corners of the genre. So if you want to see your favourite artist receive the recognition they deserve then it’s time to lift that finger and navigate your way to awards.breakbeat.co.uk and pick your winner!
