Critical heavyweights Kasra, Enei, Emperor, Foreign Concept, Eastcolors, Klax, Krakota and many more have contributed to a festival album with a wholesome twist: Do They Know It’s Critmas?
Loaded exclusively with never-heard-before cuts (many of which have been unreleased dubs or VIP projects saved solely for the creator’s DJ set), all proceeds of the album will go directly to Oxfam, a tireless global charity that really needs no introduction.
The album is inspired by a project spearheaded by Foreign Concept, Xtrah and Stray last year who wanted to make better use of unreleased music than just collecting digital dust on hard drives so they sold them for charity. This year Foreign Concept has taken this several steps further to create an entire 10 track album.
Kasra’s label and close friends have all dug deep to deliver and the result is astonishingly sick… From the gangster vibes of Foreign Concept and Punchline’s Paper Cha$er Pt II to the emotional chords and rugged footwork stamps of Halogenix’s Feel It, the album is an unabashed adventure to the brittle forefront of the genre.
With displays of creativity and power set high, it’s like a a drum & bass version of Live Aid. Only better. And with heaps more credibility. Donate what you can and the tracks are yours. Here’s what they sound like…
