The So-Cal desert dust has yet to settle on the Coachella Valley and reports suggest it was another blinder with all manner of shocks, surprises and next level sets.
Zedd bringing Kesha out to play, Bernie Saunders rocked up to introduce Run The Jewels and Skrillex & Diplo unveiled their brand new live show.
Based around a huge version of a boxy old mid-90s Power Mac with a screen, keyboard and related retro graphics with sneaky internet references, it’s another one-up for the seemingly unstoppable duo. Naturally there were a few live appearances with Kiesza, AlunaGeorge and Post Malone all delivering the goods. Oh, and Kanye West, who just stood centre stage for half a minute looking moody. Most importantly, though, the music was seriously on-point. Firing through mash-ups, edits and composites, there’s not a dull moment. Loaded with elements such as a west coat hip-hop montage and plenty of classical big bottom end business such as Doctor P’s Tetris, Caspa’s remix of Where’s My Money and Nero’s Promises, the duo laid down an hour of festival-firing madness that was enjoyed by the festival’s 100,000+ and tens of thousands streaming live around the world.
