The world is still waiting for the Knife Party – Trigger Warning EP.
We were hoping it would land in time for their Halloween parties in Manchester and London over the weekend, but that was wishful thinking. However, they did drop a few unreleased tracks on a guestmix for Diplo & Friends on BBC Radio 1 Xtra this weekend.
A power-hour mix that sports the skills of Skrillex, Oliver Heldens, Tommy Trash, D.O.D, Jauz, Swedish House Mafia and various Knife Party classics, among the heavy hitters include Kraken, Party Parliament Funk and Jauz’s chop-slapping twist on PLUR Police.
The first two tracks have been on the radar since Miami while Jauz premiered his remix at Red Rocks two months back. Check the mix and you’ll hear it used to dramatic effect during the finale.
Okay, so it’s not the EP we’ve been waiting for. But it’s still a killer mix with an on-point blend of freshness and familiarity. If you’ve still got cobwebs in your hair/brain from a heavy Halloween weekend, this should help clear them. (Full tracklist below the player)
