Nero have gone in on their latest remix… Of themselves.
Over the weekend the London trio added more fire to the Between II Worlds album hype with an alternative take on their current uplifting house cut Nero – Two Minds.
Entitled the Nero ’92 Minds Remix, they’ve switched out the synths and future-sounding bass for pianos and tightly edited filtered samples that nod respectfully at both Daft Punk and US garage don Todd Edwards.
A neat throwback to the formative sounds of house while retaining all the power of Alana’s Watson’s vocals and contemporary production strengths; it’s yet another example of Nero’s ability to leap and flex between myriad genres, adding more intrigue as we build towards the release of their anticipated second album Nero – Between II Worlds.
Released August 28, only a matter of weeks remain until the full album is unveiled. Pre-order it here.
