Nero revealed the fourth new track to come from their forthcoming album Between II Worlds last night… Nero – Two Minds
Delivering a fresh track every month since March, first the London trio delivered The Thrill, in April came Between II Worlds while last month they gave us Dark Skies. Each cut has explored a wholly different corner of electronic music while carrying consistent shades of barbed riffs and dark synthetic sci-fi soul.
Nero – Two Minds continues this motif as it takes them into house territories. While the big piano hook and robust, elastic future-style bassline drive the track, it’s Alana’s voice that really takes centre stage on this one and give it that all-important Nero sheen. As with all the other tracks they’ve revealed this year, it’s unlike anything they’ve done before… And arguably the furthest they’ve strayed from the body of work and dynamics that we know them for.
With two months left to go until the album drops on August 28, there’s potential to hear at least one more new Nero track before the long awaited release. With new sounds and ideas emerging on every track so far, we’re excited to hear what comes next….
