Listen: Rage Against The Machine’s Tom Morello collaborating with Knife Party

It seems Skrillex and Diplo’s impromptu roadblock wasn’t the only interesting news at this Monday’s Kings Day festival in Amsterdam this week.

Over the last two days a short one-minute video has been doing the rounds of a brand new Knife Party track featuring the talented axe-bashing styles of Rage Against The Machine’s Tom Morello.

Debuted at the Olympic stadium at a public holiday event which also featured the likes of Kygo, Yellow Claw and headliners Jack U, the riff instantly smacks of Morello’s style (while also sounding a bit similar to Red Hot Chilli Peppers’ Can’t Stop) and his sharp, prickly string pickings fit the drop perfectly. The first video that emerged featured a rather listless looking crowd but this more recent one has a cleaner audio and no visual distractions…

There’s no word on its title, or possible release date, but it’s clear Morello (a man who has never been afraid to push the electronic boundaries of shredding technology) has upped his relationship with electronic music a level or two lately. Two weeks ago he posted this image of himself, Skrillex and Jahlil Beats on his Facebook…
