What began as a way of celebrating his first official American tour in July 2014, Snails’ SNAILEDIT mix series has since developed a life of its own with must-listen status.
The last two mixes introduced us to his warped and weirded out world with guided tours of the all the dankest, slimiest corners of Slugz City now he brings things back to his ever-loyal fanbase with a mix dedicated to followers of self-styled, ever-perennial vomitstep sound: Vomit Squad.
Delivered just weeks after Snails and Flux Pavilion smashed our faces / lives with Cannonball, SNAILEDIT volume 4 continues to plot the Montreal artist’s ever-developing vomitstep style. Venturing into creative territories with occasional housier rhythms, big guitar chugs and more rule-free chaos, it’s the sound of a man in his heavily resampled, beautifully twisted element.
