The wait is almost over… After exploding onto our radar in 2010 with a prize-winning remix of Pendulum, young Nantes-based artist Madeon has finally announced when his full album will be unleashed.
Madeon first announced details of Adventure in December on his Facebook page. We now know it’s set for release on March 30 via Columbia Records and comes with a reflective concept of his own roots and relationship with music.
“With Adventure, I wanted to capture the feeling and sensibility of my teenage years,” he states. “I wanted the album to start very vibrant and pop and end with a more contemplative tone. In making the record I both collaborated in the studio with some of my favourite musicians, and wrote and performed vocals on songs myself, two things I hadn’t really done before with my own music.”
Madeon – Adventure is set to feature the likes of Bastille, Passion Pit and Aquilo and Madeon himself on vocals and will come with an deluxe version option with six additional tracks. He’s already teased us with You’re On and Imperium…. And if you like these, just wait until you’ve heard the full album!
With a high profile show at Coachella confirmed as well, something tells us Madeon is going to be unavoidable this year.
