We’ve been waiting for this for a long, long time… Neosignal co-boss and super-respected artist Misanthrop is set to release his debut album 14 years after his debut release.
Self-titled and completely self-presented (including the artwork and videos) Misanthrop – Misanthrop will drop on Neosignal on September 30 and is the culmination of almost two years work.
“I’ve been working hard for over a year and a half,” he explains. “I’ve been collecting tunes that will work together as a body of work and reflect every aspect of what I do.”
“I’ve been on this drum & bass thing for so long, I’ve made two collaborative albums but I’ve not done a solo album. It’s the main thing I’ve always wanted to do but never felt I had the right skills to make an album. But if I don’t do it now I never will. I should have done it way earlier!”
Timing is everything. And from this description below alone, you know this album is going to be worth the wait….
“You know me… I try never to follow any conventions or formulas. I try things out, new approaches and ideas. There’ll be a few tunes you might not expect from me but mainly there will be a lot of bangers. It’s an album I want to play out. No journey, no epic experimental things – I’ve done that before – this time I just want a drum & bass album that DJs can play out. It’s been a long time coming.”
