Pendulum To Play Their First Live Show In London In Six Years

Saturday August 26 2017: Save the date, make sure you’re free. London’s longest-standing electronic music festival South West Four have just announced their first headliner for their 14th year and it’s massive…

Pendulum will play their first live London show in exactly six years. Yes… Pendulum.

The full band – including original members Rob Swire, Gareth McGrillen and El Hornet – last played live in the UK capital when they headlined SW4 in 2011. Six years, and a whole lifetime in music later, the band will return to Clapham Common for their only London show of 2017.

After a five year break from Pendulum Live, the band returned to critical acclaim last year for one-off live show at Ultra Music Festival in Miami last year. This summer the band are expected to return with an even heavier, even more electrifying and energetic live performance than ever before as they shut down South West Four day one.

Famously revolutionising production in the early 2000s, Pendulum are cited by the scene’s most influential pioneers as the most gamechanging act in the genre. Setting the digital blueprint for generation who followed, the band’s mark on drum & bass is nothing short of legendary.

Not just respected for influencing the technical aspect of drum & bass production, the band’s melting pot attitude and incorporation of rock influences ensured Pendulum live shows – in terms of performance, how the equipment is used and appeal to vast crowds from all corners of music – set the benchmark for a wealth of bands across the entire electronic music spectrum… And when they finally hung up their guitars in 2011 many of us thought we would never get the opportunity to see them perform ever again… Until now.

August 26 will be Pendulum’s only London show and marks the start of what we’re anticipating to be SW4’s biggest, most impressive line-up so far.

Pre-sale tickets for the event are available this Wednesday January 18, 9am. Only accessible to fans who sign up via SW4’s website, Saturday and full weekend tickets will be priced just £49.50 (plus booking fee) and £99 (plus booking fee) respectively and once sold will increase in price.

£50 to see Pendulum live? Even without the rest of the line-up – which will be revealed in a matter of weeks – this is an incredible opportunity. We’ll see you there.
