Ram Records to release massive Ram25 remix album

Words cannot describe how proud I am of RAM reaching this milestone. Never in my wildest dreams at 16 years of age when I started the label did I think we would have achieved all the amazing things we have done to date. This has not only been mine, but so many others life’s work, passions, and dreams. I want to say a huge thank you to the artists & staff who have written the RAM story over the past 25 years – Andy C

Christmas comes 10 days early this year for drum & bass fans as Ram release one of the biggest v/a albums they’ve ever curated in their 25 years: On December 15 the label – founded by Andy C and Ant Miles in 1992 – will release Ram25, an album that revisits some of the label’s cult, scene-influencing tunes with remixes from some of the biggest and innovative names in the genre.

Chase & Status, Marky, DC Breaks, Enei, Bladerunner, Calxy & Teebee, S.P.Y, Shimon, Benny L and more have provided remixes of seminal tracks such as Origin Unknown – Valley Of The Shadows, Andy C & Shimon’s Nightflight, Ram Trilogy’s Huggy Bear, Sub Focus’s X-Ray and DJ Fresh – The Gatekeeper. Each version a crafty balance of updated and celebrated; the album is a flashback with its eyes set firmly forward.

It’s an absolute honour and privilege to be part of the movement that is Ram Records for the past 25 years. From the early days of friends just hanging out and wanting to be part of an emerging genre and scene to where we are today. Through the ups, downs, lows and highs, I’m truly proud of everything we’ve done and achieved along this amazing journey and of all the people that have been involved along the way. Thank you. Scott Red One.

2017 has been another successful year for Ram, who now work in partnership with BMG. Albums have come our way from Teddy Killerz, Loadstar and, most recently, Frankee while the singular club scuds have come from all directions including Killbox, Smooth, Chords, Calyx & Teebee, Bensley, Mind Vortex and more. Ram25 brings the year to a fittingly epic climax as one of the best multi-artist albums they’ve ever put together.

We’ll have to wait until December 15 for the full album, but premieres are about to emerge imminently, including Chase & Status’s powerhouse update on Valley Of The Shadows. You’d be wise to keep you eyes on our YouTube channel for that very very soon and watch this space: full tracklist and more will be revealed very soon.

Working with Ram has been one of my career highlights, being part of a wicked label, teams and working with very talented artists is an honour. I feel privileged to have been part of this project as twenty five years is a huge milestone for a label within any music genre. We hope you enjoy this album as much as we did putting it together for you!  Big up all the loyal ram junglist soldiers! – Jim Gash, RAM Records label manager
