As hinted by Roni last time we spoke to him, the legendary Full Cycle Records will relaunch this year with brand new material, remixes and a European tour.
A key D&B label during the late 90s and early-to-mid 2000s, Full Cycle was a dominant jungle platform amid the exciting Bristol scene (which was also home to a thriving beat scene with acts such as Massive Attack, Tricky and Portishead) where Roni and Krust were joined by key instigators such as Die, Clipz, Suv and, beyond Bristol, artists such as Photek, Tali, Heist and many more.
Backing up the bigger Roni Size and Reprazent releases on Gilles Peterson’s Talkin Loud imprint, critical releases on Full Cycle include Roni Size’s Brut Force, Krust’s Memories, Die’s Clear Skyz, Die & Krust’s I Kimanchi project and many more.
Fully charged for a loaded release schedule throughout 2016, the first release on the freshly reformed Full Cycle will be Roni Size & Krust – Formulate EP. Their first collaborative work in 15 years the EP features two previously unreleased tracks – Formulate and Swinshot (a remix of Swingshot by Swindle) plus two remixes of the title track.
It’s backed up with a tour that takes in the UK, Belgium, The Netherlands, Germany and France. Tickets go on sale today. The dates are as follows….
