Shazam UK Bass Chart: January 2015

shaz (1)

The authority on real time tune ID requests returns to UKF with the 10 most popular bass-influenced track requests made in the UK over the past month.

The first Shazam UK Bass chart of 2015, it’s an interesting snapshot of tracks that have tickled music fans’ interests over the holiday season. With seven of the 10 all sitting pretty in the ever-evolving deep house bracket – most notably Philip George’s runaway 3Beat smash Wish You Were Mine – it’s clear that last year’s unavoidable house soundtrack is still very much in full force.

Other interesting chart behaviour includes the arrival of XL’s unique new signing Shamir, the resurgence or Zac Samuel’s remix of Karen Hardin (which was doing the rounds since last summer) and the Kriss Kris, Shystie and Roya takeover on Chocolate Puma’s Step Back.

An honest reflection of Britain’s enquiring musical minds; whether these requests were made from the dancefloor on NYE or from an armchair post-Turkey feast, the chart highlight what’s popular with casual listeners right now and makes for a great listening experience as you ease yourself into a new week.

Exclusive to UKF: Shazam UK Bass Chart runs on the second Monday of every month. For more charts visit Shazam.
