No one knows the line-up. No one knows the location. All we do know is that Shy FX is organising four weekly Thursday parties in February somewhere in East London; they will be free entry for those lucky to get a ticket and, with Shy’s reputation, they’re likely to be special…
cult.ure is a brand new concept from Shy who has become renowned for holding on-point cross-genre events with names from across the board. His Party On The Moon line-ups at the likes of Bestival, Pikes Ibiza, Love Saves The Day and Notting Hill Carnival have gone down in legend as Shy – real name Andre – has invited everyone from Craig David to Breakage via Mark Ronson, David Rodigan and Rudimental. No boundaries, no genre rules, just straight up vibes – a message Shy has consistently pushed since he launched the late great and dearly missed Digital Soundboy in 2005.
“Digital Soundboy was so important for me to be involved in,” explained Breakage when we asked him for his all time favourite labels last year. “It opened my eyes musically to all kinds of styles and opportunities that I never would have dreamt of before and, like most of us, I was sad to see it come to an end. You could pick up any release and you never know what you’re going to get but you knew it would be good.”
The very same can be said for cult.ure: we don’t know who’s going to be playing but we know that this is going to be awesome. Tickets are limited and can applied for by entering your deets on Shy’s site. Certy dons and modern day way pavers await each and every Thursday next month. Sign up here and good luck!
