Not a day goes by when another new Skrillex project gets teased, reported or hyped. Just recently there’s been news, clips or rumours of collaborations with DJ Snake, Yellow Claw, Dillon Francis, WIWEK, Jauz… Even legendary disco demon Giorgio Moroder and dadrock legends Toto.
That’s not to mention the ongoing hype for his and Diplo’s Jack U album which, if Diplo’s recent social media shouts are anything to go by, could drop as soon as this week.
But here’s one piece of real evidence of a brand new track (which he previously teased us with on Snapchat) that Skrillex premiered during his set at the OWSLA stage on the Holy Ship’s second outing last weekend. Delivered via a quick switch from his and Alvin Risk’s epic Imma Try It Out the thundering drop is reminiscent of Zomboy’s Immunity which has caused many commenters to speculate on the track being an official Skrillex remix. Either way, it bangs seriously hard.
Check the footage below, filmed by serial rave documentarian Glenjamn, it’s loaded with serious lasers and captures the sweaty carnage of the Holy Ship to a tee.
