The clock is ticking….
The first round of voting in the seventh annual Drum&BassArena Awards closes at 23.59 UK time TONIGHT.
Taking place at Brixton Electric, Tuesday December 1, the Drum&BassArena Awards is essential for all D&B fans.
Almost all award shows in electronic music cover a variety of genres, the Drum&BassArena Awards is 100 per cent D&B, making it one of the very few opportunities to ensure your favourite genre is repped with the attention, due detail and celebration it deserves.
2015 has been a really interesting year for drum & bass. The underground/tech-driven side of the spectrum has never been so fruitful and creative with individuals leaving preconceptions (and boundaries in general) at the studio door, there’s been a lush line of genuinely soulful liquid from all corners of the globe and many big artists have dropped albums from Marky to Spor.
Last year’s awards was Drum&BassArena’s biggest year to date: Tens of thousands of votes were pledged from voters who registered in over 140 countries. Drum & bass is a truly global movement with participants and contributors preaching gully gospels from every corner.
It down to you to make sure your favourite acts/labels/events/MCs/singers are given the credit they genuinely deserve. Drum&BassArena have also added a new category to ensure all sides of the game are repped with a brand new category: Best Remix.
Now is the time: The first voting phase will establish all nominees for the next round of the awards process. It’s the most crucial phase of the game, really: it’s your chance to ensure the playing field is level and the most underground / up-and-coming artist has an equal stance against the established big guys. Right now anyone can win. Pledge your support as soon as you can!
