Viper announce major UK concert tour: The Sound Of Drum & Bass

Brookes Brothers, The Harry Shotta Show, TC, Cyantific, Koven, Majistrate and more are set to play one of the biggest drum & bass 14+ entry concert tours of its kind this November.

With festival season nearing an end, plans are being revealed for autumn and winter events as we migrate from fields to more conventional club environments. Viper’s solution for the coming season seems particularly exciting and refreshing: The Sound Of Drum & Bass.

Teaming up with Academy Events (the team behind many of the O2 Academy venues around the UK) Viper have taken the drum & bass tour concept that’s usually based around one premiership chart-slapping act and remixed it with a more dancefloor-focused style that ticks a lot of boxes.

Emphasis on A LOT of boxes: musically, the line-up has something for all drum & bass fans from song-based D&B to full-throttle high energy basslines. It genuinely lives up to The Sound Of Drum & Bass concept as the line-up ranges from the sweet soul sounds of the Brookes Brothers (who will be showcasing a lot of their ace new album Orange Lane) to jump-up don Majistrate via our favourite record breaking trio The Harry Shotta Show. With Cyantific, Koven, TC and Matrix & Futurebound also on board, the tour celebrates the boundary-blurring melting pot drum & bass is enjoying right now.

The all-age entry is also refreshing; besides at specific under 18 nights, many young fans don’t get the opportunity to experience line-ups like this. While 14+ has been standard for headliner concerts for major league drum & bass acts such as Chase & Status, Netsky or Sigma, this is one of the first times we’ve seen a club line-up tour that welcomes the essential new generation of drum & bass fans. A great example of how early live drum & bass experiences can affect you later in life is this recent interview of ours with Med School’s Whiney. His first ever concert was Chase & Status, age 14… Look where he is just seven years later.

The Sound Of Drum & Bass will be hosted by Eksman, IC3 and Miss Trouble and commences November 3. For full details visit here, tour dates below…
