With varied line-ups which stay authentic to d&b roots and culture, Warning continues to represent the drum and bass scene in it’s truest form. This year the mighty brand is celebrating a mammoth 28 years with a very special announcement.

Warning are launching a Record Label- which promises the same supreme level of output that we get at their events. Below we caught up with the Warning’s key player to hear what this imprint means to them and from the brand.

‘Warning is one of the foundation stones of this thing we call d&b. We have supported every single artist in the UK for the last 28 years by giving them a stage to showcase their talents. It’s only right we take things further giving them a label in the form of Warning Recordings’. – Pete Edwards, Warning Founder

‘Warning has been an ever-present force throughout the history of the drum and bass scene. We are proud of our heritage and are fortunate to have grown up with all of the heavyweights in the drum and bass space and are super proud to call them all family.

After 28 years of putting on some historic raves and parties, Warning is getting ready to go up a gear and evolve into a record label. We’ve signed some huge records already and can’t wait to share them. When people ask me what the label will be like, the main thing I keep saying is ‘high energy drum and bass’. That could be jump up, jungle, headsy underground weapons or sunshine festival anthems. That kinda sums up our first 3 releases in fact!’ – Jonny Martin, Warning co-owner

‘I’ve followed the brand Warning for many years and I’m really proud to be a part of their development into a record label alongside the insanely talented & world-renowned Harry Shotta who needs no introduction. We’ve been working on this project for some time and I’m so excited for people to hear it! The Warning brand has so much history in this scene and I’m gassed to make new history with their first release as a label!’ – Tesen

‘As far as iconic figureheads in d&b goes I hold Warning in the highest regard. It continues to support and shape the culture and has always been a vital piece in the jigsaw of the Drum N Bass world. I’ve had so many memories of playing at the event over the years including classic sets with Andy C, Friction and so many back to backs with Skibadee that I’ll never forget. As we step into Warning growing into a label I’m so proud to be a part of the first release and am excited for the world to hear this collaboration with Tesen who I believe is one of the sickest producers in the game.’ – Harry Shotta
