Rampage: the annual mecca for bass DJs.
Eight years deep and growing every year, the Belgian rave has gold card status and its line-ups represent everything that’s exciting about the widest spectrum of the scene. This year was no exception and if you follow just a small amount of D&B/dubstep DJs on social media last weekend your feeds would have been drowned in a constant flow of epic crowd pictures.
Over the last few days Rampage have been uploading sets from the show on their YouTube channel with highlights coming from all sides: 12th Planet & Megalodon smacked it hard, as did Roni Size & Krust but our favourite so far has to be Camo & Krooked.
Rampage regulars since the very first show, this year they pulled out every stop. Maybe it’s because they’ve been deep in studio mode completing their forthcoming album (due out this summer), maybe it’s because they love Rampage. Or maybe, just maybe, it’s because they’re badboy DJs.
A tidal wave of classics, IDs and cross-genre pollination, it’s non-stop sickness with highlights such as Show Me A Sign mixed in with Planet Dust, Circles mixed in Still D.R.E and Pendulum’s legendary Voodoo People mixed into Posij’s Hunger. They also finish with a brand new – as yet untitled – tune.
As their MC says: Over the hizzle. Check it right here and stay tuned for more Camo & Krooked news when he heard official word on their album….
