Skrillex headlined Barcelona’s world renowned electronic music and arts festival Sonar on Friday June 19… And did a damn fine job at it too.
Opening with his currently unavoidable remix of Red Lips, the OWSLA bossman pulls out every genre-blurring trick in his artillery with a range of Skrillex classics, upfront IDs and a few sublime surprise blends: Eurythmics – Sweet Dreams is paralleled with Skream’s seminal dubstep cut Filth, Freddie Mercury’s Barcelona is torn apart by Skrillex’s own Ragga Bomb and, towards the finale, he daringly drops Los Del Rio’s cheesy 90s holidays classic Macarena alongside Bangerang.
Closing the show with a special secret guest for the final track, we won’t spoil the surprise… Let’s just say you’ll want to watch this A$AP.
Just fancy the audio? There’s a Zippyshare link in the video description.
