Yes! Nero’s album is currently being mastered…

Nero

We’ve waited. And waited. And waited. Rumours about Nero’s follow up to their award-winning, agenda-setting debut album Welcome Reality have abound for well over a year now… Reaching epic levels of speculation when their single Satisfy dropped last May, leaving many fans expecting a full lengther before Christmas.

Besides promoting Satisfy and infrequent live dates, the band have remained tight-lipped on social media since 2013 giving no clue as to what to expect… Or when to expect it. However on Friday they broke their near-silence by retweeting this:

Clearer confirmation that an album is written and nearing a release-ready stage would be harder to find. For more context – and hype – Stuart Hawkes is a Grammy nominated mastering engineer. He mastered Nero’s first album Welcome Reality and has worked on many successful albums such as Pendulum – Hold Your Colour, Chase & Status – Brand New Machine, Disclosure – Settle, Sub Focus – Torus and Magnetic Man – Magnetic Man.

In other words, the album couldn’t be in better hands at this stage. We’ll keep you posted with further developments as we learn them.

In the meantime, here’s a Nero Top 10 we put together when Satisfy dropped last year.

It seems 2015 has potential to be a future vintage for heavyweight albums with The Prodigy, Chemical Brothers, Madeon, Spor and many other premiership acts all confirming LPs this year. None of them can land soon enough!
