We’ve waited. And waited. And waited. Rumours about Nero’s follow up to their award-winning, agenda-setting debut album Welcome Reality have abound for well over a year now… Reaching epic levels of speculation when their single Satisfy dropped last May, leaving many fans expecting a full lengther before Christmas.
Besides promoting Satisfy and infrequent live dates, the band have remained tight-lipped on social media since 2013 giving no clue as to what to expect… Or when to expect it. However on Friday they broke their near-silence by retweeting this:
Clearer confirmation that an album is written and nearing a release-ready stage would be harder to find. For more context – and hype – Stuart Hawkes is a Grammy nominated mastering engineer. He mastered Nero’s first album Welcome Reality and has worked on many successful albums such as Pendulum – Hold Your Colour, Chase & Status – Brand New Machine, Disclosure – Settle, Sub Focus – Torus and Magnetic Man – Magnetic Man.
In other words, the album couldn’t be in better hands at this stage. We’ll keep you posted with further developments as we learn them.

It seems 2015 has potential to be a future vintage for heavyweight albums with The Prodigy, Chemical Brothers, Madeon, Spor and many other premiership acts all confirming LPs this year. None of them can land soon enough!
