This weekend sees the release of ALT Classic; a talent-stacked remix album where the likes of Snails, Virtual Riot, Wuki, Ephwurd, Getter, Twine HeRobust and many more class A acts get their mitts on tracks from Kill The Noise’s debut album Occult Classic.
Ranging from Snails’ white-knuckle weirdo trap hybrid to a straight-up euphoria bomb from happy hardcore champs Darren Styles & Gammer, it’s an all-style collection that pays respect to the diversity of the original. We copped the Ephwurd version of I Do Coke. Obscene bass house, it’s not to be sniffed at (sorry)….

Porter Robinson – Spitfire (Kill The Noise Remix)
Fire in the hole! Unleashing his innermost Ewun gremlin, Kill The Noise smashed Porter’s Spitfire out of the park. One of his best remixes full stop. No argument.
Noisia – Diplodocus (Kill The Noise Remix)
It’s hard to match the creative brilliance and originality of Noisia’s original but Kill The Noise definitely gave it his all way back in 2012 with this D&B hybrid. Those cheeky flurries of amens are now a common signature in a lot of the current halftime stuff. Ahead of its time.
Nero – Must Be The Feeling (Kill The Noise Remix)
Nero’s slap-bass busting, vocal-heavy original got the gully injection it needed when Kill The Noise twisted it inside out, gave it a new bassline and added a rifle-like array of glitches and stabs in 2012. There’s a reason this has over 1.7 million views!
Madsonik – Drift & Fall (Kill The Noise Remix)
Released this month, Kill The Noise reminds us of his blissful dreamy side as he takes on Madsonik’s original… Things get a little twisted around midway but the overall message is still hugely euphoric and as cinematic as the Criminal-featured original.
Flux Pavilion – Mountains & Molehills (Kill The Noise & Bro Safari Remix)
It was a toss-up between this and the Freeway remix but this one clinches at thanks to the total cleanliness of that hook on the drop. Serious sense-melting stuff on a big system… As you’d expect from two old D&B sparring partners.
Kill The Noise & Feed Me – Thumbs Up (For Rock N Roll) (Kill The Noise Remix)
Nine thumbs up: If the intro doesn’t give you goosebumps and the finale doesn’t make you grin like a lunatic then you are officially dead inside.
