#TBT: Fabio & Grooverider Top 10 – 1990-97

Not one #TBT rewind today. Not even five.

Fabio & Grooverider are celebrating 25 years of solid b2b badness this year. File under: Scene Godfathers, the London duo were hugely influential foundation setters for drum & bass. With roots as house and funk DJs, they were some of the first DJs to apply the breaks and transform hardcore into jungle.

They’re celebrating this quarter century hallmark with a massive rave-up in The Forum, London, on May 8. They’ll be joined by the likes of Matrix & Futurebound, Drumsound & Bassline Smith, DJ Die, Randall and many many more including three big headliners who will be announced a week before the event.

D&B history in the making, full event details are below. But first, 10 slabs of authoritative D&B history, as picked by Fabio & Grooverider themselves. Get to know (if you don’t already) – each one of these cuts helped shape the genre we know and love today.

Lennie De Ice (Reel 2 Reel) – We Are I E (1990)

“The original gamechanger and firm favorite in our sets for a long time.  Never failed to set Rage on fire.”
