We HAD to open the Nero folder in the UKF vaults for this week’s throwback feature…
Their long-awaited album Between II Worlds drops tomorrow and a brand new Nero Essential Mix drops later that night on BBC Radio 1. Your weekend soundtrack is sorted.
To get us in the mood we’ve gone back over six years (yeah SIX) for one of their most pivotal moments: Nero – Act Like You Know.
Already trusted D&B filth-slingers with a few dubstep experiments under their belt, Act Like You Know was their Breakbeat Kaos debut and a clear level-up document. Their self-remixing dubstep version that dropped a month later added to the momentum and consequently ensured them one of the most secure spots in the bass premiership that they still maintain today.
Serious tingles abound. Rewind both mixes for now… Then roll on tomorrow for the full album release (pre-order it right here)
