One of the many key tracks from Sub Focus’s 2009 self-titled debut album, Could This Be Real was a pivotal cut for the Ram artist as he developed from his drum & bass roots and revealed a much broader palette and cemented his reputation as a genre-bounding electronic artist. Remix-wise Joker added his signature spacefunk twist, bringing the house-flavoured cut back to bass basics. It still sounds funky to this day.
With well over two years passing since his sophomore set Torus, and no releases from him last year at all, we have good reason to suspect that 2016 will be dented with Sub Focus freshness. That and he told us as much late last year in this interview! In the meantime, enjoy this evergreen spacefunk remix throwback.
