DJ Fresh

A leading figure in drum & bass since the late 90s, DJ Fresh cut his teeth in the hugely influential act Bad Company UK. From there we went on to establish Breakbeat Kaos (the label responsible for signing Pendulum) and Dogs On Acid, one of the most notorious, scene-shaping forums in drum & bass. One of the most consistent producers D&B has ever known – with appearances on the likes of Valve, Ram, V – in 2011 he switched up his style in a major way and showed the world how drum & bass and dubstep could be done on the biggest of stages. The first artist to score both dubstep and drum & bass UK number ones, Fresh took what he’d learned from the underground and injected it into pop music. He’s never looked back. A genuine trailblazer.

Knife Party

What began as a fun side-project during Pendulum’s Immersion tour, Knife Party has now become one of the most influential electronic acts to have emerged in the last three years. Releasing an EP every year since they emerged as a mysterious, identity-free, act in 2011, Rob Swire and Gareth McGrillen’s uncompromised free-for-all fusion of genres has inspired waves of new producers. Smelting down the very essence of moombahton, electro, house, bass and EDM, each Knife Party track is instantly distinctive yet wholly unpredictable. FYI – they don’t carry blades and have never stabbed anyone… the name actually comes from a Deftones record.

Nero

From remixing Michael Jackson to working with the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra to producing some of Example’s biggest hits… Nero have achieved so much so far it’s difficult to know where to start. Their roots that can be traced back to the early 2000s with drum & bass slammers on Reformed Records but the trio really shot to fame with their dubstep bombs on MTA Records as tracks like Innocence, Me And You and Promises pushed the genre further and further into the popular conscious. Their album Welcome Reality compounded their creative abilities and more than proved their musical might… They’re currently on a full media blackout and total studio lockdown until their follow up album drops later this year. We can’t wait to hear it.
