Miami Music Week kicks off tomorrow: a unique six day session when it seems like almost every DJ on the planet will collide in Miami’s downtown and South Beach areas.
What began as a business-minded get-together 30 years ago has now become the staple calendar date for artists, DJs, labels, brands, clubs, promoters and music lovers to unite from every corner of the world’s dancefloor. From networking to twerking, all shades of activity are at play: big business deals, big blow-outs and, most importantly, big line-ups.
There are about 500 official and unofficial events around the Miami between March 24 – 29. While a good 80 per cent of them are house and techno, dig deep and you’ll find the right party for every possible electronic genre you can imagine.
Naturally with our signature penchant for low-end, we’ve pulled out some of the best bass-dedicated events. If you’re heading out this year these are all highly recommended. (And they’re just the tip of the MWM iceberg, check out Miami Music Week’s website for full listings)
Spoiler: Almost all the best parties happen on Thursday.
