Spag Heddy’s Top 5 Valentine’s Day Bangers

Love is in the air. Not only is it Valentine’s Day, but Spag Heddy is just days away from dropping his first EP of the year: Gospel on Never Say Die.

It’s four tracks strong, it bangs, it lands this Friday and we copped the immense Strayed Up featuring fire bar mic maestro Armanni Reign.

From jaw-dropping to trouser-popping: to celebrate the release and all things Valentines we asked the gully Dutchman for his own personal babymaking selections. He came through with some absolute beauties. From salty shock outs to classic soft rock-outs, this is how Spag Heddy rolls when the night moves from the all-essential intimate Italian meal for two.

Mind your meatballs, things are about to get very hot…

LAXX ft. GG Magree – Heart

When you think of Valentineʼs Day you think of hearts. And when you think of hearts you think of this huge banger. Well if you didnʼt already then now you will. Itʼs one of the best tracks on the Fake Friends album, simply because they are ALL incredibly good. LAXXʼ signature full on-hybrid-style with beautiful vocals by GG Magree make the perfect combination: smashing Hearts in your face is all you want on Valentineʼs Day.

Camo & Krooked – Loving You Is Easy

Love is feelgood and cheesy and that is what this song is. Not exactly the style you expect when you think of Camo & Krooked, but they did do it and it’s such a damn good track. Incredibly funky, catchy, and nothing but positive vibes in this 2013 hit on their amazing album Zeitgeist. Makes you fall in love with whoeverʼs next to you!

Dubloadz – Salt

Now this is music to go into those deeper dimensions of love. Are you even really in love if you canʼt go weird and deep together? Incredibly salty tune by Dubloadz, impossible to not make your head bob and your body does all kinds of freaky things. Try this together, it will bond you in ways you never thought possible.

AWAY – Sleepwalker (ft London Thor) (Tisoki Remix)

The beautiful original by AWAY got a crazy cool flip by Tisoki who is one of my favourite artists. Itʼs about lost love (I think) and it represents the other side of Valentineʼs Day when certain people are sorely missed. Tisokiʼs description on Soundcloud sums it up: “I made this for you whilst thinking about all the times we’d run around late at night doing cliche shit without a care in the world”

Toto – Africa

So good this should be in every playlist ever… Here is Africa. If one song shouts global love? It’s this. Try not to sing your heart out with this all-time banger. (Wink to manager) They say every time Africa is being played a couple somewhere falls happily in love…

Spag Heddy – Gospel is out Friday February 16
