Seven years and one day ago we uploaded this unsigned demo from some dude called Dimension…
Two whole years before he took the scene by storm on Cyantific’s short-lived-but-consistently-sweet Cyantific Records with tracks such as Digital World and Synth City, this is where it started for the man known formally as Rob Etheridge.
Even back at the earliest stage of his career, Stargazer showed all the right signs. It was eventually had interest from Talking Beatz, the same label who provided debuts from Netsky, Camo & Krooked and Fred V & Grafix, and sonically it still stands up as a remarkable emotive dreamy roller (even though it doesn’t sport Dimension’s now trademark heavyweight production punch)
Seven years and 10 killer releases later, Dimension is one of the genre’s most in-demand acts and is responsible for one of the most played drum & bass tracks in the last six months – UK, a snare-slapping stepper that fits into every style set and has become so ubiquitous Skrillex has made his own VIP.
Big up Dimension! Here’s to many more years…
