NGHTMRE’s Top 10 UK Bangers

NGHTMRE may hail from LA but there’s a distinct UK twang to his colourful melodic melting pot. Whether it’s his breakthrough cuts on UK low-end institution Circus or his relatively-recent D&B-switching, Prodigy-referencing Dillon Francis collabo Another Dimension, NGHTMRE’s vibrant slant on UK bass has been a refreshing blast to dubstep. Often fusing it with more hip-hop elements and major league collaborations with the likes of Wiz Khalifa, his unique sound was unavoidable throughout 2017 and set to amplify even more this year.

Currently on the road this side of the pond, and about to return to the UK this week for a special show at Camden Assembly this Thursday, we asked him for his all time favourite UK inspirations. Naturally he’s picked up some absolute smashers. Get to know:

DJ Fresh – Gold Dust (Flux Pavilion remix)

“One of my first favourite electronic songs!”

TNGHT – Higher Ground

“Classic track, Kanye sampled it too and you know it’s good if Kanye samples it.”

Rustie – Big Catzz

“Rustie’s chord progressions always sound amazing.”

Rustie – Slasherr

“This Rustie track has a sick build up that’s always hype.”

Zomboy – Biterz

“One of Zomboy’s newest with an emotional movie score intro that draws you in.”

Bro Safari – Follow (Zomboy remix)

“One of the few songs that’s been in my set for over a year, and just sounds so good every time.”

LAXX – Hardcore

“The most hype song out of all of these, every time I play it the whole crowd goes crazy.”

LAXX – The Limit

“This shows LAXX’s diversity as a producer. It’s melodic and powerful.”

SKisM – Experts

“Classic bass music from the early dubstep years.”

Flux Pavilion & NGHTMRE – Feel Your Love

“The first track I ever did with Flux, more to come soon!”
