Desperados & UKF City Hack: Meet The Teams!

From hundreds of entries to 12 of the very best creative individuals from London, Manchester and Bristol: The Desperados & UKF City Hack teams have been chosen!

Each crew comprises of a DJ, promoter, graphic designer and visual artist. All of them ambitious, talented and hugely passionate about their art. All of them collaborating to ensure their city is hacked the hardest and beats the rest.

Check the video below and read on for details on each City Hack team and its individual members:

Here’s why they’ve been picked in more detail:

LONDON

DJ: MR A Promoter: Alex Donald Graphic Designer: Milan Abad Visual Artist: Tom Scott
Everything is in place for the London team: a DJ who’s had appearances on Kiss FM and taken his bubbling house sound across the UK, Ibiza and the Caribbean. A promoter who made his name at one of London’s most influential clubs Cable and the super cool Groove Fest festival in the Dominican Republic. A designer who does everything by hand and has done many film posters and album covers. A visual artist who excels in 3D animation and motion graphics who’s worked with The BBC and Ninja Tune.

MANCHESTER

DJ: DJ Silver Promoter: James Galloway Graphic Designer: Leo Eastland Visual Artist: Adam Al Sened
Manchester’s repping the northern quarter hard: DJ Silver will be known to many as a member of North Base, a bass-heavy trio who’ve had tracks signed to Wheel & Deal, Don’t Play, Rat Records and many more. He’s joined by promoter James Galloway who’s also behind the label Grand Theft Audio, graphic artist Leo who’s worked in a variety of artistic disciplines including photography, screen printing and music videos… A skill that’s also excelled by Adam Al Sened who’s filmed, directed and produced an array of music videos including My Nu Leng’s massive 2014 smash Masterplan.

BRISTOL

DJ: Patrick Nazemi Promoter: Stefan Chelland Graphic Designer: Alex Williamson Visual Artist: Tom Gardner

UK’s second city of bass Bristol has always been a hotbed of creative minds. These are the leaders of the city’s freshest generation: Patrick is a genre-smelting party DJ who knows no boundaries and has enjoyed residencies from here to Ibiza. Promoter Stefan is behind the city’s exciting Apex nights where everyone from Skream to Bonobo have played. Designer Alex has created striking visuals for many major brands and festivals while visual artist Gardner is Bristol’s go-to guy for all things lasers and visual effects and works closely with the city’s most legendary raves including In:Motion, Run and The Blast.

For more details check the Desperados & UKF City Hack site directly. Stay tuned for more episodes as we follow each team and capture their collaborations. Three teams, one mission: to make sure their city comes out on top of this unique celebration of electronic music and artistic creativity!
