For some artists one name just isn’t enough…
UKF Side Projects maps, mirrors and makes sense of the multi-alias work of some of the biggest names in bass music…. Allowing us to reflect on the different and similarities between their work.
We ignite with one of the biggest contrasts possible: DJ Fresh’s chart-barging Gold Dust and his work as part one Bad Company with the scene unifying anthem The Nine.
Deeper again we’re battered by the extremes of Jon Gooch’s Feed Me and Spor aliases. We’re bruised between Knife Party and Pendulum uploads. We’re slain by Kill The Noise and Ewun cuts. And, finally, we’re brought to a fittingly sweaty climax by Noisia who dabbled with other genre-exploring identities as Drifter way back in the very early days of Shogun Audio.
An interesting exercise in celebrating the creative breadth of some of bass music’s finest titans and an opportunity to rewind and relish in some classic material. Enjoy!
