He kicked off the year with a debut album and big releases on Technique and Viper. Now Sub Slayers speaker shredder Toronto Is Broken is bringing 2015 to close with one of his darkest double-trackers yet: Original / Way Down.
With radio hype from the likes of Mistajam and Charlie T and DJ support from Pendulum, Roni Size, Fred V & Grafix, Mind Vortex, Drumsound & Bassline Smith and more, both cuts are making all the right noises. They come complete with a free download, too – Further.
With everyone playing his music, we caught up with him for a Recommends session to see whose music he plays in different scenarios…
Warm Up
Ekko & Siderack – Alone Without You (ft. Samahra Eames) (Viper)
Absolutely wonderful track from the Hansen brothers. It always gets me pumped up, be it the only exercise I do is running after the bus… But you get my point!
Peak time
Mind Vortex – Impulse (RAM)
Pure, absolute fire and destruction- the definition of peak time energy! One of my favourite tracks of 2015.
Chill
Jon Hopkins – Abandon Window (Domino)
I’m such a Hopkins fanboy it’s starting to become a little concerning. This track is constructed beautifully, all it consists of is piano and ambient background noise that builds up over time to an amazing crescendo. All aboard the feels bus!
Travelling
Joe Ford – Mission (Caliber)
Even though it’s only at 125bpm, it will definitely make you put your foot down on the accelerator.
Sexytime
2000F & J Kamata – You Don’t Know What Love Is (Hyperdub)

I don’t think I need to explain this choice, just press play.
Cooking
InsideInfo & Mefjus – Leibniz (Virus)
It’s named after a type of biscuit, and it’s definitely full of that buttery biscuit bass!
