Shazam UK Bass Chart: October 2014

Shazam return with their authoritative top 10 of bass-related tracks music fans have been requesting in the UK during the past four weeks.

It’s clear that Sigma are continuing to smash the system in every direction, remaining at the top spot for the second month running. What’s interesting here is that they’re attracting new ears to drum & bass…. Who else would Shazam Changing but people who are fresh to drum & bass?

Another big story is the immovable object that is ZHU’s Faded. It hasn’t budged from the top five since we started running this chart.

Meanwhile a little lower down the top 10 we see the return of some older releases including Chase & Status’s heavyweight swagger-slugger International (quite possibly due to its recent use on a BBC advert) and Friend Within’s Renegade (quite possibly due to hype from popular vlogger Joe Weller and the fact Friend Within is on tour right now).

Stories aside, Shazam Top 10s are the most honest reflection of what the general public are checking and interested in. And in the case of their UK Bass Top 10s, it’s clear they’re interested in some really good music.

Visit Shazam for more honest reflections of the public’s musical interests and tune in every Monday of the month to find out which bass-related tracks the UK are vibing to. Exclusive to UKF, enjoy!
