What would Drumsound & Bassline Smith and the Teddy Killerz actually spill blood for?

We taste metal, we taste blood: a collaboration between dancefloor trauma titans Teddy Killerz and Drumsound & Bassline Smith on Blackout was always going to be a furious affair. But few could forecast just how brutal and uncompromising their recent release on the Utrecht powerhouse label truly is.

If you’ve not tasted it yet, now’s your chance to savour its metallic flavour…

Partial to violent sounding music but not fans of violence, we asked the heavyweight humanitarian trios if there was one thing they would spill blood for, what would it be?

This is what they came back with…

Teddy Killerz

Oleg: I think I’d spill blood for a day in Hans Zimmer’s studio. It would be fantastic to see how they work, talk to people who work there and study new things. Basically education is the main thing worth spilling blood for.

Anton: Me? For opportunity to travel I guess. That’s one of the most exciting things in the world. New places, new impressions. It’s like a drug. Once you started it’s really difficult to stop. Tours and shows are not always destinations you would like to visit as a tourist; I haven’t heard anything about D&B parties on the top of Mount Everest or in desert of Sahara. But I defo would like to see places like that and spill blood to do so!

Greg: I would spill the blood for steak from Gauchos in Utrecht. One of the best I have ever had! If you like meat, you defo have to check it out.

Andy: It would be worth spilling blood to time travel back to the late 1960s psychedelic era. To hang out with Jimi Hendrix or the Beatles, take your laptop with all your plugins and blow their minds with all the amazing things you can do. Just imagine how artists like that would use the technology that we take for granted now. That would be amazing!

Ben: Yeah that would be sick. Whilst you are in the time machine get video footage of who killed JFK or find out who Jack the Ripper was. That would definitely be worth spill blood for.

Simon: It would be worth spilling blood to have the studio recordings or even better to be in the studio with The Winstons when they made the Amen Break. You could get them to record all the parts separately. Clean ride, smash cymbals, snares etc. I’d spill blood for that for sure.
